First Year with Nic (3/3)

yesterday, nic and i celebrated our first year together (how time flies!). instead of just treating her to a typical movie/dinner date at some mall, i opted to bring her to a secluded place at antipolo. we went around the Pinto Art Museum first before having dinner at this restaurant called Laya.

i must say, the entire place was perfect! it was as if we were in greece or something. believe me, it was that good. as for the food, it didn’t disappoint. nic and i ordered the Laya signatures. i particularly liked the appetizers, salad, and soup. they all had fancy names so i don’t even want to bother writing them all down. as for the main course,  i went with the grilled hanging tender steak while she went with the cashew-crusted salmon. to be honest, the steak wasn’t that spectacular. i guess i just got used to eating “real”, high-on-cholesterol steak. nonetheless, it was good enough to satisfy my craving for steak. nic’s cashew-crusted salmon, though, was really good! if i only knew it was that delicious, i would’ve gotten the same.

overall, the day couldn’t have been more perfect. it didn’t matter if we had to drive all the way up to the mountains of antipolo. it was all worth it. we’ll definitely come back to this place soon. coffee perhaps?
